Grief Work Through Expressive Arts

This is a group where we will use various artistic media (colored pencils, charcoal, writings, collages, music, etc) to express and heal through the grief process. It is a 6-week bereavement group and not an art class – all skill level is welcome (the facilitator uses stick figures when he draws). However, you must be open and ready to use artwork to express grief in a manner different than traditional talking groups.

While grief is a highly individualized experience, participation in a support group often helps the healing begin. We try to keep these groups small, 15 people, so that everyone can fully participate and benefit from the sessions.
