Do you talk with patients and families about medical treatment decisions? This training is designed to help participants learn the skills needed to facilitate person-centered Advance Care Planning (ACP) discussions and to assist in the creation of a living will that effectively conveys future medical decisions. This course has two parts. Part I consists of a series of four on-line critical-thinking learning modules. Part II consists of a 1-day in-classroom training that includes lecture, videos, role-playing and group discussion. Upon registration participants will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access the pre-requisite on-line modules.
Respecting Choices© Refresher (for returning students only)

Early Bird (by 1/31/17) Registration: $35 – Registration: $50 (after 2/1/17)
Individuals who have already completed the First Steps© ACP Facilitator Certification Course or the Last Steps© POLST Facilitator training are invited to this day-long refresher. The in-classroom training includes lecture, videos, role-playing and group discussion. Come and receive the latest materials and review your facilitation skills. Participants taking the Refresher will not need to retake the on-line modules.
