Tibetan Prayer Cloth Ceremony
In the tradition of Tibetan Buddhists, families and friends of patients at the Suncoast Hospice Mid-Pinellas Care Center write a symbol, picture, name or initial of someone they are praying for or “letting go of” on a bit of cloth and to tie it ropes on the grounds of the care center. As the wind blows the cloth, we are reminded of the prayer being carried upwards.

You are invited to a ceremony to burn the cloths which symbolizes sending the prayers the rest of the way to heaven.
