According to the National Heart and Lung Institute more than 24 million people have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and it is estimated that the disease has not been diagnosed in half of them.

Dr. Matthew Smith will help us explore inside the lungs and how COPD affects breathing. He will describe treatment options, prevention techniques and how to cope with shortness of breath. The good news is that many medical interventions as well as breathing exercises can improve the quality of life for people with COPD. If you or family members are having difficulty breathing, you do not want to miss this lecture.
