Suncoast Hospice is proud to engage Pinellas County high school students as they serve and improve our community while earning volunteer service hours for college. Over the past 22 years, our teen volunteer program has flourished through the contributions of time and talent of many outstanding students.
Through the generosity of Empath Health’s Women’s Giving Network, Kathy Wilder and Levett Family Foundation, The Cassidy, Cloe, Berkley Wilder Hospice Teen Volunteer Scholarship Fund is awarded to deserving college-bound Empath Health volunteers to help offset costs of attending school. Recipients chosen from top applicants with a minimum of 18 months and 150 hours of continuous volunteer service and an un-weighted GPA of 3.25 or greater.
“We are blessed with generous donors like Kathy, who create a legacy for the entire community by giving back in so many ways,” said Suncoast Hospice Foundation Chief Philanthropy Officer Kathy Rabon. “Deserving teens will benefit for many years to come,” she added.
The Women’s Giving Network is a philanthropic group that supports the members of Empath Health, including Suncoast Hospice. Members join for a minimum of two years and donate a minimum of $1,000 annually. For more information, contact Kathy Rabon at KathyRabon@EmpathHealth.org.
