Empath Health Volunteer Orientation – This training will provide you with an overview of Empath Health and its integrated network of care, including Suncoast Hospice. At the end of the training session you will choose the role that best fits your goals as a volunteer
Register for the orientation through this calendar listing or by calling 727-523-3440. You will be contacted to discuss volunteer opportunities and to complete the registration and application process. If you are a college student who is interested in volunteering to meet the requirements of a class, please contact us before registering. If you are a high school student and have not already spoken with a Teen Volunteer Coordinator, please call us to discuss our Hospice Teen Volunteer Program.
Patient and Family Support Training (PFST), an additional twelve-hour course, is an option following the completion of Volunteer Orientation for those who want to work directly with patients and families at Suncoast Hospice or Suncoast PACE participants. For more information regarding these volunteer opportunities and/or the additional training, please contact Volunteer Services at 727-523-3440.
