As Memorial Day approaches, we pause to remember and honor the lives of those who died in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the foundation of the freedoms we hold dear. Though Memorial Day honors those who gave their lives, it is also a time when many living veterans quietly carry the weight of that loss. As we reflect, we're reminded of the responsibility we have to those who return from service—many with unseen wounds, bearing the quiet grief of fallen comrades. Our colleagues give so much of themselves every day. During Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminded how vital it is to take time for ourselves, too. 🌻This week, the North Pinellas Service Center hosted Well-Being Day, offering colleagues and volunteers a peaceful pause through the healing power of palliative arts.From calming music to gentle movement and touch, our incredible palliative arts volunteers created a space to relax, reconnect, and feel supported. These same volunteers bring comfort to patients every day—and on this special afternoon, they were here for us.
